Our client, a leading U.S. grill & smoker manufacturer, acquired a pulp plant to convert wood pulp into pelletized smoker fuel. However, they faced challenges with low throughput, inconsistent pellet quality, and severe safety hazards. Our team custom-designed a fuel management train using Honeywell Maxon components, optimizing the air-fuel ratio for precise burner and blower control. They also installed a new control panel, enhanced burner and blower system, and a Fireye system to monitor and ensure safe shutdowns in case of flame failure. Our Engineered Solutions Team helped upgrade the backup power systems of a 30-story residential building in South Florida. After a failure in the building's automatic transfer panel and the discovery of an obsolete GE PLC from the 1990s, the client opted for a full modernization. Our solution involved replacing outdated control panels with modern PLCs, ensuring reliable power during outages, especially critical in hurricane-prone regions. The project enhanced system reliability, eliminated manual interventions, and improved safety for residents.
