Carousels with audio now show up in the Reels tab - what does that mean for brands? 🤔 Instagram recently announced that photos and carousels with music are now eligible to appear in the Reels tab – extending the reach of that post format. We took a browse to our Reels tab to see if any brand carousels showed up. A few did! There was a carousel of film photos set to vibey music. Duolingo posted an illustration carousel set to dreamlike music. Our big takeaway : While most of the commercial library is not great, we think themed music could work well here for brands. If there’s any sort of theme to the carousel your brand is posting – romantic, scary, weird, funny – finding music that matches that energy could be worth trying out.
