This Giving Tuesday, help individuals throughout the Inglis community, no matter their disability, access the tech they need to thrive and live their lives how they see fit! On December 3rd, our goal is to raise $8,640 to expand access to assistive tech at Inglis. For individuals with disabilities, technology is not just a luxury; it's a lifeline to independence. Access to up-to-date technology can make a world of difference. It enables our community to communicate, learn, work, and engage with the world in ways they never thought possible. #GivingTuesday Learn more and give: https://bit.ly/415YXF9

The holidays are a time to gather and show joy and gratitude for those around you! Here are 4 tips for how you can make your home more accessible for visiting friends and family: ❄️ Never be afraid to ask what your guests may need! It's always best to check with your loved one to get their thoughts. They know their needs best and will be able to help guide you! ❄️ Remove Area Rugs: Area rugs can get caught on wheelchairs, especially if they are lightweight. Remove them from common areas to make movement around your house a little easier! ❄️ Consider furniture placement: Those who have a disability may need more space to move around and make turns, try adjusting your furniture so that all paths are clear and gathering spaces have room for everyone. ❄️ Consider a removable ramp or grab bars: there are several affordable and removal ramps that can make accessing your home a little easier. Even something that will bridge the gap a few inches can make your home a more welcoming place! #Accessibility #Gathering #HolidaySeason

Giving Tuesday is coming up fast, and we are putting a spotlight on Assistive Technology! Assistive Tech is a major necessity throughout Inglis, as a way to make sure residents and community members can live independently. On December 3rd, we are aiming to raise $8,640 to replace an out-of-date 3-D printer, purchase 3-D printing materials, and create a smart home setup that can be used to test and learn how to use these products before committing to an installation. Your donation, whether big or small, will make a lasting impact by supporting the unique needs of the people with disabilities we serve through our IATS Learn more and donate: https://bit.ly/415YXF9 #AccessibleTech #GivingTuesday #Inglis #GivingSeason
