About us
What is IBLCE? IBLCE®, or the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners®, is an international credentialing body whose mission is to serve the global public interest by advancing professional practice in lactation consultation and support through credentialing. IBLCE established the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) certification programme in 1985. As of 2022, there are nearly 36,000 IBCLCs in 131 countries. What is an IBCLC? International Board Certified Lactation Consultants function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team. They provide care in a variety of settings, while making appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community support resources. Working together with families, policymakers, and society, IBCLCs provide expert breastfeeding and lactation care, promote changes that support breastfeeding and help reduce the risks of not breastfeeding. Over 3,200 candidates from 74 countries sat the September 2024 IBCLC examination. We just began releasing examination results to candidates in their online credential management account. Releasing the examination results is an intensive process; therefore, it will take approximately 72 hours to release examination results. The examination results must be released in segments. This means you may see your results before or after someone else you know. Once all results have been released, we will send an email to candidates with instructions to access their examination results and their score report online. As previously announced, the Public Registry is temporarily unavailable while results are being released. We will make it available again as soon as possible. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eDKxR8z2
