The campaign aimed to secure tier 1 press coverage in partner markets and encourage adults to pledge commitment to changing habits for the well-being of children. Activista, a purpose-driven innovative agency, conceived the idea. Despite the absence of a dedicated #PR budget, the international PR community responded fervently, showcasing remarkable creativity and commitment. Through strategic planning and execution led by ICCO's Climate Communications Taskforce (CCT), in tandem with the dedication of 35 Activation Partners (APs), the campaign has garnered widespread attention and galvanised action on a global scale. This collaborative endeavor marks a historic milestone in the fight for environmental sustainability, highlighting the indispensable role of PR in shaping the discourse on #ClimateAction and effecting positive change worldwide. Boaz Paldi, UNDP's Chief Creative Officer and Co-Chair of the CCT, remarked, "𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘐𝘊𝘊𝘖’𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 ‘𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘒𝘪𝘥𝘴’ 𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥. We stand with the fact-checking community and call for greater stakeholder collaboration to build a more trustworthy and responsible information society. 📰 Read our full statement here: https://lnkd.in/dVxFQgad
