About us
INTERREG VI-A IPA Bulgaria-Serbia 2021-2027 is a cross-border cooperation programme financed by the European Union with funds from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III). The programme area covers the districts of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Sofia region, Pernik and Kyustendil on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the districts of Bor, Zaichar, Nishava, Toplica, Pirot, Yablanica and Pchinya on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The Programme provides EU funding for implementing common solutions to shared problems across borders. The general goal of the programme is to strengthen the territorial cohesion of the cross-border region Bulgaria-Serbia by providing framework support to local businesses for growth and expansion, for better performance in a greener and smarter competitive global market, supporting enterprises through direct production investments to increase productivity and support joint actions to prevent the risk of natural and man-made hazards through inter-institutional coordination for risk prevention and rapid response management, harmonization of procedures and approaches, and preparation of citizens for disaster response.

🌟 🌟 Welcome September! It’s time to celebrate our Interreg successes! Time for the Interreg Cooperation Day! This year, we celebrate with “Geo Milev - 1954” Community Center in Momin Prohod and the YouthPartNet project . Together with young people from Bulgaria and Serbia, participants in the project, we will prepare a culinary speciality in the “Yunashki Tigan” - the largest pan in Bulgaria. 🎷 We will enjoy the Etropole Brass Band, dance groups from the Kostenets Municipality, and performers from Serbia. Promising and secure future of Bulgaria and Serbia more and more trusts to the increased cooperation between the two countries. This is the conclusion arrived at the Sixth Cross-border Conference of the project "Europe in the Balkans: A Common Future", organised in Belgrade by the Bulgarian News Agency (www.bta.bg). 💡 The region which covers the Interreg Bulgaria-Serbia Programme is a beautiful region that has a common history, we can understand each other, we can sit at the same table, commented Kristina Ašković, Head of Department at the Ministry of European Integration of Serbia. 💡 People need to see what the European Union is doing for them.
