"Flipping the Project"—transforming our research findings on smart capacitating investments into actionable recommendations to support testing of new business and finance models for innovative financing opportunities in #HealthPromotion and #DiseasePrevention 🩺💡. Meanwhile, we’re tackling the unique challenges of implementing complex interventions across our four diverse testbeds 🌍, working with various stakeholders under different administrative, financial, and governance models. 👨🎓 A busy start to the autumn for the #EUInvest4Health HorizonEurope project! Syreon Research Institute and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden represented Invest4Health last week at the Social Outcomes Conference 2024 in Oxford, the annual convening of the world's leading researchers, policymakers and practitioners working to improve social outcomes. The conference featured discussions on the latest thinking and findings from academic research alongside insights from the emerging practice across different geographies, disciplines and policy areas. Invest4Health was proud to present its research findings on 💥 Smart Capacitating Investments: Lessons Learned from Outcomes-based Financing Schemes 💥 in two sessions, 1.3. Benefits and challenges to outcomes-based financing for health, és 1.4. Beyond impact bonds to present. #Invest4Health project research is focusing on exploring the potential of Smart Capacitating Investment (SCI) as a solution to the public sector's declining fiscal space and limited funding for prevention and health promotion. Our work revealed a broad spectrum of innovative investment and finance models in health, highlighting the potential of Smart Capacitating Investment (SCI) as a novel approach to enhance policy effectiveness and support more sustainable health financing solutions. By testing these models in our four #testbeds, we aim to demonstrate how SCI can mobilize new funding sources, share risks among stakeholders, and promote innovation in health policy. These efforts will provide valuable insights for policymakers seeking sustainable strategies to overcome financial constraints and improve European health outcomes. 🌞 Balancing between summer holidays and ongoing projects can be challenging, but it's all about finding the right rhythm! Our #EUInvest4Health project team is successfully managing the seasonal break while pushing forward with critical activities: 💢 We launched our Citizen Patient Advisory Group, a vital initiative that will help shape our strategies and impact. 💢 We held deep-dive workshops in our regional testbeds to continue preparations for testing Smart Capacitating Investments in health promotion and disease prevention. 💢 We’re preparing our interim project report and getting ready for a review meeting to ensure we stay on track with our goals. 💢 We’re planning an exciting foresight exercise in September.
