About us

The Investment Casting Institute is a manufacturer’s trade association, whose primary mission is to promote the investment casting process and members as well as collecting and disseminating information about the industry and providing education opportunities to members. Established in 1953, the Institute is comprised of over 276 companies, half of which are casting members and half are supplier members. The Institute sponsors a Certification Course and Process Control Course in investment casting available to Members. This is augmented by a number of technical publications, DVD’s and CD’s. The Institute also publishes INCAST, the only monthly magazine devoted to investment casting, which keeps members current on industry trends. INCAST is currently celebrating its 30th year. The ICI offers a number of benchmarking reports for participating North American casting members. These reports provide not only monthly and annual commercial statistics, but also address compensation practices and health & safety, culminating in the Institute’s How’s Business Report. The Institute is governed by a board of directors elected by voting delegates (which are appointed by each of the Institute’s corporate members.) While the majority of the Institute membership comes from North America, membership also includes investment casters and suppliers from throughout the world, representing virtually every continent.
