When disaster strikes, ICUF is ready to assist through Disaster Relief Grant Programs. This vital initiative helps credit union members recover and rebuild in the aftermath of unexpected events. Jeff Hayes, CEO of North Star Community Credit Union, shares perspective on collaborating with ICUF to assist members following catastrophic flooding this past summer, “… It is a wonderful element of the Iowa credit union movement to have the Iowa Credit Union Foundation at the ready to assist where and when possible. For years, North Star Community Credit Union has annually supported ICUF’s mission without realizing it was, in a sense, ‘paying it forward.’ The Disaster Grant is a wonderful program that ICUF maintains, along with the other aspects of its mission.
