Secretary Mike Naig announced today the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is investing more than $5.2 million in 24 Iowa projects and other supply chain improvement initiatives through USDA's Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure grant program, which aims to build resilience in the middle of the food supply chain by developing and expanding markets for Iowa’s small farms and food businesses. #IowaAg https://lnkd.in/g-32pFdW

The new Crop Progress and Condition Report, which is also the last one of the season, was released today as the 2024 harvest season wraps up. Reports will resume in April 2025. The report, which is released by the USDA - National Agricultural Statistics Service, also includes comments from Secretary Mike Naig and Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship's weather update. https://lnkd.in/gp7t3UNC

Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Grant Menke and a 16-member delegation have just returned from a trade mission to Taiwan and Japan.
