“Pottstown Area Economic Development is grateful to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Financing Authority for this investment from the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development DCED - LSA program, which provides an opportunity to accelerate Pottstown's revitalization efforts in our downtown,” said Peggy Lee-Clark, executive director of Pottstown Area Economic Development, which received a grant for its Borough Of Pottstown Downtown Streetscape Plan. “In addition, we are humbled by the confidence in Pottstown and PAED demonstrated on a regular basis by our state elected officials, Representative Joseph Ciresi and Senator Tracy Pennycuick.” Pottstown Downtown Streetscape Plan - "The funds will be used to help develop a comprehensive plan to improve Pottstown’s streetscape, including strategies to beautify vacant storefronts, design outdoor areas for recreation and social gatherings, and give the walking corridor a safe and welcoming atmosphere. The project will include assessment, focus groups, and plan development." https://lnkd.in/eikfXpgM

Pottstown's Fete en Blanc 2024 was a beautiful evening under the lights and stars, where 750 guests created memories, as they "waved the white napkins" and said goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall. Our mission with this end of summer event is two-fold - to celebrate the Pottstown community and to showcase Pottstown to the outside world, with nearly half the guests attending from out-of-town. The event is co-hosted by two non-profit organizations, Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED) and Hobarts Run, who are committed to finding ways to tell the Borough Of Pottstown’s modern-day story. Fete en Blanc provides the platform to do just that. The event is modeled after traditional late summer or early fall Dinner in White events held in communities around the world, from Paris to Philadelphia, with all attendees decked in white attire.
