Christmas came early this year. Just received my Black Friday order from IQBAR. Excluding my brother’s brand Wake Up Water, IQBAR is my favorite CPG brand out there right now. I’ve had too many of their bars to count over the years. I’ve been meaning to try out the brand’s other products and finally decided to give em all a try. I always say when it comes to food and beverage brands, taste is always my first consideration. Not only do they taste great, they also are top tier when it comes to the ingredients they use and product functionality. Out of all the people I’ve met during my time at dash.fi so far, I have to say Will Nitze has been the most interesting and truly inspiring I’ve had the chance to speak to. Always love to see good people and good products win.

Let’s talk coffee. I drink a cup once every 7 to 10 days. I usually opt for this because he’s a buddy (correct, I had so many things to say here but they weren’t LI appropriate), plus it’s pretty darn good (taste, energy level). But I’m curious, what’s your go-to brand or do you use a machine in your house? I was thinking of getting one of those cool looking things that’s I’d end up only using 3 times a year but it sits on my counter as though I’m a barista.

For Will Nitze’s 34th birthday today, I supported him yet again with another purchase of his tasty IQJoe. I don’t drink coffee much, but on the days that I do, I opt for his product. I would have bought him some crocks or a new pickleball racket or rollerblades but it looks like those close to him already made that happen. If you don’t follow this young chap, you should. He’s much nicer than he seems. Pretty smart too. And kind of funny.

I’ve had to make some strategic changes. Especially since I started running Spartan Supers again. Most of these races are 2 to 3.5 hours. In the Summer, you can’t just wing it. Hydration and rehydration has to be strategic. Today is just a training run, but it’ll be 120 minutes. All over the beautiful Blue Mountain Resort. (Before the skiers come and take it away from me.) I normally run these in the heat of the day. Which helps to replicate race day. But it makes re-hydration an ordeal. So here’s the hydration stack I’ve been going with: 1. #FNSHHydration -Alkaline at 9.6 pH+ -Potassium -Magnesium -Calcium 2. #IQMIX -Magnesium L-Theonate -Sodium and Potassium -Lion’s Mane 3.
