THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABILITY AND HEALTHY PRODUCTS FOR ALL Since the first day of its creation, ISCA has worked with a very well-defined focus: to work in agriculture with differentiated products that seek a more balanced relationship with nature. And yet ISCA′s products combine care for the environment with the quality and effectiveness criteria necessary to operate in the market. We believe that biological pesticides will be predominant in the fight against insects and pests in agriculture within a few years. For us, this has already been a reality for more than 20 years. This explains our researchers choice to use products based on semiochemicals. After all, the raw material comes precisely from nature′s elements, such as insects and plants. The biocide market is growing steadily at around 30% per year, while that of traditional pesticides is growing at less than 6% per year. This difference alone shows the power that biological pesticides represent in today′s market. https://lnkd.in/dp23kWBf

OUR PURPOSE IS TO REVOLUTIONIZE AGRICULTURE WITH THE USE OF BIOCOMMUNICATION ISCA′s business has worldwide recognition. Various entities, university research centers, and government agencies have financially invested in our research to develop innovative products for extensive agriculture and fruit and vegetable growing. ISCA has received investments of over US$ 40 million in 20 years of operation in the world market so that our products reach the five continents. Entities such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United States government, through the USDA, invest in our research to develop solutions to combat insects that are harmful to both crops and humans. https://lnkd.in/gNMpr25p

OUR STORY It was in the late 1980s when the Brazilian biologist Agenor Mafra Neto decided to move to the United States in order to deepen his research on the chemical communication of insects and their behavior in agriculture, a great passion of his academic life. He graduated from the University of Campinas, one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, and received his master′s degree from the same university. He then dedicated himself to doctoral studies at the University of Massachusetts and postdoctoral studies at Iowa State University. In the middle of this trajectory, in 1994, he gained projection among entomologists when he published an article in Nature, one of the most important scientific journals in the world, on the influence of pheromones in the flight of moths. https://lnkd.in/gqhCnG5y

Attract Honeybees to Help Pollinate Crops Increasing bee foraging activity is the first step in improving crop pollination. Through numerous research trials across various crops, ISCA has tracked the increase in number of bees visiting flowers in each crop. The graph indicates increases as high as 256%, with an average of a 105% increase in bee foraging activity over the control groups. https://lnkd.in/g5EGBTu8

Securing a reliable water supply for our growers 💧🌱 As we kick off 2025, FID remains dedicated to strengthening our water resources with key projects like groundwater recharge basins. These projects help the District: 💦Capture & store surface water during wet years 💦Replenish the groundwater table 💦Offset groundwater pumping By investing in these projects, we're not only addressing today's water needs, but securing a long-term supply for our growers and the next generation of farming. #groundwater #recharge #surfacewater #CAwater
