𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 March is the month for important environmental reporting deadlines: 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭 – 𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗥𝗔 𝗧𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Companies that store hazardous chemicals in significant quantities are required to submit a report under the 𝖤𝗆𝖾𝗋𝗀𝖾𝗇𝖼𝗒 𝖯𝗅𝖺𝗇𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝖢𝗈𝗆𝗆𝗎𝗇𝗂𝗍𝗒 𝖱𝗂𝗀𝗁𝗍-𝗍𝗈-𝖪𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝖠𝖼𝗍 (𝖤𝖯𝖢𝖱𝖠). This applies to: ✅ Manufacturing facilities ✅ Chemical storage warehouses ✅ Hospitals, laboratories ✅Any organization that holds chemicals above the threshold quantities Even small factories, such as cheese production facilities, may fall under this requirement if they use ammonia in cooling systems, acids, or disinfectants. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯𝟭 – 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘀 (𝗚𝗛𝗚) 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 Companies that emit more than 25,000 metric tons of CO₂e per year are required to report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the 𝖢𝗅𝖾𝖺𝗇 𝖠𝗂𝗋 𝖠𝖼𝗍. While this rule primarily applies to large industrial facilities, smaller businesses may also be required to report if they use industrial boilers, natural gas, or other fuels that result in significant emissions. It’s important to check if your facility falls under this requirement. What to Do? ✅Check the list of chemicals and their quantities – do you need to submit a Tier II Report? ✅Evaluate your greenhouse gas emissions – do you exceed the threshold? You can find the full list of hazardous chemicals and their threshold quantities here: • EPA Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) Reporting: https://www.epa.gov/epcra • List of Hazardous Chemicals: https://lnkd.in/e-nC_26M Tracking all key dates and occupational safety requirements is most convenient with a compliance calendar. This tool helps plan report submissions and document preparations in advance, reducing the risk of missing important deadlines.
