Today, we honor the bravery, dedication, and sacrifices of our veterans. Thank you for your service! A special thank you to one of our own, Jeff Rogers. 🇺🇸 Jeff Rogers served 4.5 years of active duty as a command post controller in the U.S. Air Force (USAF). During this time, he was stationed at the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson AFB, Alaska where he was in a strategic location known for its cold weather operations and proximity to the Arctic. This role involved coordination and management of mission-critical information and response actions, which are pivotal given the base’s focus on readiness and defense capabilities. He would later serve a combat tour to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan with the 455 Air Expeditionary Wing in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This role involved dealing with high-stakes situations that required rapid, accurate decision-making to support both air operations and ground support missions. He earned the Afghanistan Campaign medal and the Global War on Terrorism medal during this deployment. Finally, he served at both the 388th Fighter Wing and 75th Air Base Wing at Hill AFB, Utah where he was involved in overseeing or participating in the operational planning and execution of missions. This base is known for its involvement in testing and operational readiness, making it a critical site for integrating new tactics and technologies. He also received a USAF Achievement Medal for his decisive actions in support of Operation Noble Eagle, which provided the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics with restricted airspace security operations involving combat air patrols over Olympic venues. Thank you for your service, Jeff! 🇺🇸
