Targeted ganglionated plexi (GP) modulation with nCaCl2 durably suppresses postoperative atrial fibrillation by inducing apoptosis of GP neurons and inhibiting GP and vagosympathetic nerve activity. This exerts a localized anti-inflammatory effect to reverse the proarrhythmic neural-electrical remodeling following thoracopericardiotomy without myocardial damage or compensatory neural regrowth. This large cross-sectional study reveals the complex interplay between residential nature exposure, neighborhood walkability, and cardiovascular (CV) health. Initially, higher nature exposure measured by NatureScore was associated with increased CV risk factors and diseases. However, after accounting for neighborhood walkability, this relationship reversed, suggesting that individuals residing in highly walkable neighborhoods with abundant nature exposure (NatureScore ≥60 and WalkScore ≥40) are more likely to have optimal CV risk profile and lower odds of CV risk factors. https://lnkd.in/eXP5wHRv #JACCAdvances #ASCVD
