Team JazXD Innovations worked on a Presentation for the Smart India Hackathon 2024 And we plan to make it public for others to comment on how it's done The project was about a research and presentation of the idea 'Gun shot detection' The base idea is to use multiple microphones at different locations around a place and detect for any sound that is similar to a gunshot. The detection and triggering of further events is done by a trained ML model that distinguishes other sounds like Car backfire, firecrackers, thunder etc. which are not gunshot. We created a webpage for the users to handle microphone setup, integrated with AI for audio processing with a UI for activating and deactivating the microphone, along with a map for visual cue for the precise location of the origin of the gunshot Though the team failed to qualify for further rounds of the Hackathon, we learnt a lot about the topic, team work, hackathon, project and prototype presentation.
