A very special place called King's Ridge is about to open and they need some extra help in the garbage department, as they get down to the homestretch! Please consider a generous donation to this VERY worthy cause. King's Ridge is a CASA project that will end homelessness for 100 individuals and families in Wake County, NC. The community will have on-site supportive services, including a medical clinic staffed by WakeMed, case managers, a tenant liaison, flexible community space, and much more. It's amazing! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO READY KING'S RIDGE We have several opportunities over the course of January that volunteers can sign up for depending on availability and ability. The first stage of volunteers will help assist with unloading and assembling furniture for the 100 units. Tasks will include unboxing, building furniture, moving furniture, and trash disposal. Helpers do not need any prior experience. Please bring a set of tools and power drill if able. The second and final stage of volunteers before people move in, volunteers will help assist staging home goods in all the units – homegoods include pots, pans, linens, towels, and more. As the architectural design partner for the residential buildings and the master planner for the overall site, we were proud to see this mixed-use development help spark the revitalization of downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District. Projects like The Dillon remind us that great design not only creates immediate impact but also stands the test of time, continuing to inspire and engage years later. The Dillon seamlessly integrates residential, retail, and office spaces, honoring the area’s industrial heritage while creating vibrant, community-centered living and work environments. With 300 residential units and 23,000 square feet of retail space, the project blends beautifully into a neighborhood known for its shops, art, and innovation. Our team drew inspiration from the historical Dillon Supply Warehouse, weaving its legacy into the architectural design of the residential buildings and the broader master planning of the site. This thoughtful approach to merging past and present exemplifies our commitment to designing spaces that resonate with their communities. As a Raleigh-based firm, it’s been incredible to witness The Dillon’s lasting impact on the Warehouse District, transforming it into a cultural and economic hub. Our design draws inspiration from the surrounding context and the kinetic energy of nearby rail systems, celebrating the motion and rhythm that define this vibrant urban hub. Key amenities include: 🏊 Two thoughtfully designed courtyards with a swimming pool 🏋️ A state-of-the-art fitness center 🎲 Game rooms, private offices, and community spaces 🌇 A stunning top-floor terrace offering expansive views Beyond the building, we’ve envisioned a painted mural that will enhance the parking garage, adding a creative flourish to this dynamic community.
