Amazing second day at the #FENS2024! 📖 Starting the day off with a lecture by Onur Güntürkün, learning about the influence of endothermy on the evolution of the #brain and the commonalities and differences between bird and mammalian brains. 📊 Engaging discussions at the poster sessions at the morning and afternoon. 🧑🔬👩🔬 Our #jNWG members had a great opportunity to connect with the #SHSC of the Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA) at the "meet the speaker" and "buddy system gathering". 🚀 Day 1 of #FENS2024 was a blast! 🌟 The conference kicked off with a packed house and an absolutely riveting debate on #AI in #neuroscience! 🧠🤖 The discussions delved into how neuroscience and AI are increasingly shaping each other, the ethical challenges we face, and the exciting new therapeutic avenues opening up. Key questions included recognizing real versus fake, responsible use of AI by #neuroscientists, and addressing ethical issues like privacy and mental integrity in an AI-driven world. The debate highlighted how next-generation computing inspired by neural networks can respect #brain functions and the importance of preserving optimal brain development in children within an AI environment.
