One Benefit of an Audit of your ERP System for the Office Technology Dealer One area of particular concern for Office Technology Dealers is that the CPA assisting with tax returns often has very limited or absolutely no knowledge of the ERP we use to run our business. The CPA has no login and does not make adjusting entries in the dealer's accounting software the way they often do in Quickbooks. However, it is common practice for CPAs to make year-end adjustments when preparing the tax return. One common adjustment is to address the depreciation of fixed assets. So, the tax return is correct, but the dealer’s books are not updated with the depreciation entry, and now there is a gap between books and tax returns.
