  • For Valentine’s Day, let’s talk about the most important bet you’ll ever make: the one on yourself. So today, instead of just celebrating love for others, take a moment to celebrate self-love, self-trust, and self-investment. Loving yourself isn’t just about spa days and affirmations (though those are great too!), but also It’s about: ♠️ Knowing when to fold—walking away from situations that no longer serve you. ♦️ Playing with confidence—believing in your skills and taking calculated risks. ♣️ Reading the table—surrounding yourself with the right people who uplift and support you. ♥️ Going all-in on YOU—investing in your growth, career, and future. Next week, we’re diving deeper into this topic during our LinkedIn Live: "How to Love Yourself Through Poker." Join April Oury and Lisa Pickell on Wednesday, Feb. 19th at 6:30pm CT to learn how poker’s mindset strategies can help you bet on yourself.

  • What if the key to being more decisive, strategic, and confident was right in front of you, hidden in a deck of cards? Jenny Just sat down with Rebecca Minkoff on her podcast, "Superwomen with Rebecca Minkoff", to talk about why she believes poker isn’t just a game. From negotiating strategically to making bold moves under pressure, the skills learned at the poker table directly translate to real-world success. But here’s the challenge: Women are often taught to play it safe, not to bet on themselves. That’s exactly why Poker Power exists—to change the game. So, here’s a question for you: What’s one situation in your career where you wish you had trusted your instincts and taken a bigger risk? Drop it in the comments—we’d love to hear. • Rules were meant to be broken! For International Women and Girls in Science Day, we celebrate Marie Curie, a woman who redefined what was possible. Despite being denied opportunities because of her gender, she became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and her work paved the way for future scientists. Yet today, only 33% of researchers worldwide are women. Girls perform just as well as boys in math and science, but they remain underrepresented in STEM careers. At Poker Power, we teach the skills they need to break barriers in any field, including STEM. Through the game of poker, we empower women to think strategically, take risks with confidence, and negotiate their way to success. How can we continue to challenge outdated norms and create more opportunities for women and girls in STEM? Drop your thoughts below!

What do CEOs, executives, and leaders have in common? A study by the Women's Sports Foundation found that most high-achieving leaders had a childhood hobby that challenged them to take risks, bounce back from failure, and think strategically— sports. On National Girls & Women in Sports Day, we celebrate the athletes who are building their leadership skills every time they step onto the field, court, or mat. Sports teach resilience, adaptability, and confidence—skills that translate far beyond the game. Just like in poker, success in sports isn’t about winning every time—it’s about staying in the game, making strategic moves, and having the confidence to go all in. To every girl who’s ever been told to play it safe: Keep playing. Keep leading. Your game is just getting started! ♣️ #PlayLifeDifferently Read more: https://lnkd.in/eBBknRBH
