Supporting Our Own: JOST Raises Funds for Employees Affected by Tennessee Flooding On September 28, 2024, devastating flooding in East Tennessee affected two of our own—Cindie Jennings (Quality) and Josh Johnson (Welding)—who both lost their homes in the disaster. In the face of this tragedy, our JOST family in Grand Haven, MI, and Greeneville, TN, came together, raising over $10,000 to support Cindie and Josh as they begin to rebuild. Pictured below, Jens Polte (VP, Operations) and Michael Crichlow (Plant Manager) present the check to Cindie and Josh. We are grateful for the generosity and compassion of our team members, proving once again that we’re stronger together. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful effort.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from Aurora Parts to our newly expanded facility on 172nd Street, where we celebrated receiving the 2023 Supplier Partnership Award! This award is a testament to our entire JOST team's dedication and hard work. Our CEO, David Pritchard, P.Eng., kicked off the celebration with a speech, thanking our factory workers for their contributions to this achievement. Jens Polte and Daniel Athey also spoke, expressing their gratitude from an operations perspective and recognizing everyone’s role in reaching this milestone. We enjoyed a taco lunch with our team and Aurora Parts visitors during the celebration to show our appreciation. 🚛 Strengthening Partnerships! 🚛 Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from East Manufacturing to our new manufacturing facility on 172nd Street in Grand Haven, Michigan. During the visit, the East team toured our state-of-the-art facility and had the opportunity to meet with our new president and CEO, David Pritchard, P.Eng. Supporting Our JOST Family Through Hurricane Helene In the wake of the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Helene, JOST International is committed to supporting our employees in Greeneville, TN, who were directly affected. Nearly everyone in Greene County lost access to water, and our team responded swiftly to keep our operations running while prioritizing the well-being of our staff. Here’s how JOST stepped up: Alternative Water Supply: Thanks to our maintenance team, we quickly designed and implemented a water supply solution to keep the plant operational by Monday morning. Employee Support: We provided free showers, water, generators, flashlights, and groceries to our employees in need. Free Meals: Our team enjoyed free lunch all week to help alleviate the burden caused by the disaster. We are incredibly proud of how our JOST family came together during this difficult time. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to ensuring our team members were supported while we maintained operations.

See JOST International in action at the 2024 IANA Meeting & Trade Show! We were thrilled to participate in the 2024 IANA Meeting and Trade Show in Long Beach, CA from Sept 9 – 11, the largest gathering of chassis and container manufacturers in North America. Throughout the week, we had the privilege of connecting with many current and new end-user companies, including chassis pool operators, railroad lines, shipping companies, and over-the-road trucking fleets. JOST also engaged with major chassis manufacturers from North America and across the globe, discussing our innovative landing gear and kingpin products. We explored potential product enhancements and highlighted the unique benefits of our JOST yard spotter 5th wheel with terminal operators. Our landing gear products were well represented, with over 90% of the chassis OEMs showcasing JOST gear, including heavy-duty, galvanized, and aluminum models. We are excited to continue building strong partnerships within the intermodal industry and providing top-tier solutions for our customers.
