As we continue to commemorate #WorldAIDSDay, we are not only thinking about what needs to be done in the #HIV response in the next five years–we need to consider how these actions now can set us up to sustain that progress beyond 2030. Reflecting on this challenge, JSI leaders Dr. Olawale Durosinmi-Etti, Pamela Donggo, and Henry Nagai have identified four key actions that we can take now to close the remaining gaps and sustain the response for future generations. That’s a wrap at #GDHF2024! A big thank you to all of our partners and stakeholders for sharing their work and a special thanks to TechChange for allowing us the opportunity to share ours. So much knowledge, adaptive learning, and creativity come from these exchanges, ultimately informing #digitaltransformation to strengthen health systems. What we’ve learned: 1️⃣ Growth in innovations matched with clear vision, governance and architecture are improving health outcomes around the world 2️⃣ Ensuring trust and privacy with regulatory standards has never been more critical and there are a growing number of tools and experiences to pull from to ensure we’re prioritizing #cybersecurity 3️⃣ There is room for growth in this field and we need to be very intentional about it: creating greater opportunity for digital access and literacy to those underrepresented in this field is vital. Let’s continue the conversation! 💬 Stay connected and keep sharing the knowledge. Learn more about our #DigitalHealth work: https://lnkd.in/eanRFCNN #GlobalHealth #IntegratedHealth

Many underserved groups have been left behind in our progress toward innovative and advanced health systems due to barriers that prevent people from using technology, such as affordability, digital literacy, security, and access. As the latest USAID Digital Health Position Paper (2024-2029) pointed out, women have been largely excluded from progress in our field and their exclusion has cost the global economy $1 trillion dollars. Last night in Nairobi, JSI with organizers Speak Up Africa and health.enabled got a chance to gather with partners in our industry to discuss how we create space for women in #digitalhealth and how we truly ensure these solutions are built with women and enables health for all. #GenderEquity #DigitalHealth #GDHF2024

💬 Sitting down with leaders from USAID and JSI’s CHISU Program to discuss how we Upgrade the Digital Health Investment Review Tool #GDHF2024. We held a refresher on the updated Principles for Digital Development and provided an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed revisions of the tool. It was a pleasure to deliver this workshop with Steve Ollis and Sherri Haas, with a cameo from Transform Health’s Kirsten Mathieson. I’m looking forward to incorporating the feedback from the dynamic discussions and enthusiastic audience members into the DHIRT 2.0. 📅 Find out more and follow the conversation: https://lnkd.in/edm-JXbS #GDHF2024 #DigitalHealth
