Do we smell success?... 👃 Over the past 90 days the perfume market has seen impressive growth, with revenue up 26%, unit sales increasing 21%. Competition remains stable, with a 1% increase in new ASIN launches and a slight decline (<1%) in new brands. Consumer engagement is also on the rise, with a 5% increase in average reviews. Versace is leading the charge in revenue, claiming 7% market share and outpacing Lattafa (6%) and Christian Dior Couture (3%). In the last 90 days, Versace saw a 28% revenue increase, 21% rise in unit sales, and a 6% uptick in average sales price—demonstrating its enduring popularity, strong global luxury reputation, and effective premium positioning. During Black Friday & Cyber Monday (BFCM), giftable fragrances saw remarkable spikes. Victoria’s Secret & Co. led the way in women’s perfume with a 53% WoW revenue jump, while AZZARO COUTURE dominated men’s cologne with an incredible 140% WoW revenue surge. 🎯 Takeaways for Brands: Leverage consumer reviews: Growing engagement presents an opportunity to build trust and influence purchasing decisions. We found it interesting that a new shopping starting line showed up this year. 5% of consumers reporting they start their product searches there.
