Reliving moments from our ‘Hope Through Education’ gala earlier this month at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco, where Jusoor’s community came together for an evening of reflection and inspiration. The night featured a fireside chat on the needs and opportunities for displaced children in the region, an inspiring art auction showcasing works from Levant artists, a captivating musical performance by Lebanese violinist Maria Bassil and Moroccan DJ Sami Ihsane, and an introduction to our new initiative, Bridges to Syria, offering a glimpse of hope for Jusoor’s future and Syria’s next chapter. We are humbled and deeply grateful for the care and generosity shown to support education for Syria’s future leaders and the next phase of Jusoor’s journey.

Today, we launch Bridges to Syria, a defining moment for Jusoor and our entire community. This is not just an initiative; it is an invitation to explore how we, as Syrians and supporters of Syria, can contribute meaningfully to education and economic opportunities. It is time to reflect, to connect, and to reimagine what is possible. Since December 8, we have been engaged in deep discussions—meeting weekly, listening, learning, and assessing the evolving landscape. We have spoken with leaders, partners, and organizations working inside Syria, continuously gathering insights to ensure that our steps forward are rooted in real needs and perspectives on the ground. Bridges to Syria is our next chapter, a bridge back home. With every step forward, we are weaving together the aspirations of scattered people, reconnecting hope with opportunity. This next chapter is not ours alone—it belongs to our entire community, to those who will help shape it, and to those who will benefit from it. We embark on this path with high hopes, knowing that together, we can redefine what is possible. The future of Syria cannot be shaped behind closed doors; it must be built through open dialogue, shared vision, and collective action. This is the moment we have been waiting for. Be part of shaping what comes next: https://lnkd.in/d478c8mb

Meet our scholar and future Syrian leader Anoud Tellou Alnachawati. Despite obtaining exemplary grades in high school in Jordan where Anoud was living as a Syrian refugee, she was not sure she would be able to continue to higher education. Thanks to Jusoor’s 100 Syrian Women, 10,000 Syrian Lives scholarship Anoud is now completing, and shining, in her bachelor’s degree at McGill University in Canada with a bright future ahead. #FutureSyrianLeaders

Our High School Scholarship students, who come from several public schools to get support at our center in Jurahiya, were engaged in sessions on teamwork & problem-solving. In a Jumanji-inspired activity, the students completed a simulation where they were stuck on a deserted island and had to complete a series of challenges and riddles to survive. The spirit of collaboration and cooperation coupled with competitiveness between the teams filled the air as the students enjoyed getting to know each other on a deeper level and exploring soft skills. The session is part of a series of engagement activities designed to strengthen the bonds between Jusoor’s high school scholarship students and to enhance their leadership skills.
