🚨 New citizen alert! 🚨 After a long journey and lots of perseverance, Sade* is a US citizen! Sade received a t-visa (trafficking based visa) with help from Tahirih Justice Center and a green card with help from Catholic Charities, but wanted to guarantee her future in the US. She contacted Just Neighbors for guidance on the citizenship process. Initially nervous for her naturalization interview, Sade relaxed and brought out her radiant energy after finding out that the USCIS officer interviewing her was an African immigrant. Managing Attorney Sarah Selim Milad recalls that "Sade made us laugh so much you would have wondered what we were doing in that office."
