About us

Just The Right Balance is a unique coaching and consulting firm that utilizes experienced physician coaches who work with healthcare organizations to help physicians maximize their organizational and individual leadership potential. The company was formed in 2016 at a time when physician burnout was on the rise and there were no real solutions that seemed to work. During this time the company offered coaching in support of physicians on work-life balance and positive psychology to increase resiliency. It became apparent that the issue was broader and needed more solutions than just wellness. CEO and Founder, Dr. Lisa Herbert began to utilize her unique background and extensive experience of being a physician, a certified executive coach, and a healthcare leader in hospital administration, public health, and the health insurance industry to think about how physicians could be supported and equipped to operate within the complex world of healthcare. Just The Right Balance discovered that leadership training and development was a part of the solution. Leadership allows physicians to improve their well-being, identify their vision and career goals, foster strong relationships, build cohesive teams, and develop the skills, mindset, and strategies needed to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. Our key impact areas are Communication, Self-Awareness, Strategic Planning, Professionalism, and Well-Being. Our executive coaching program uses the EQi2.0 Leadership 360 Assessment to help physicians transition into effective leaders with feedback and support from their managers, peers, and direct reports on how they leverage their emotional intelligence through a leadership lens.
