Have you ever searched for a file in Google Drive, only to not quite be sure where it actually exists? Perhaps it's somewhere that a colleague cannot access for a group project? There is a method to keeping your drives and resources in order, and "shared drives" can ensure that everyone can access necessary files in real time. Phil Morris is back to show you how to do just that in this Tuesday Tech Tip.

About us
The mission of the Kane County Regional Office of Education is to advocate for education, provide leadership, perform regulatory functions, and coordinate state and local services for educators, school districts, and the community. Alternative Program: Part of our Alternative Program division is our Youth Outreach Workers; counselors that assist schools and students with truancy prevention. The Kane County ROE also offers the Equal Chance Program which advocates for homeless student education. This program is administered by the Area One Lead Program and funded by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education through the McKinney–Vento Homeless Assistance Act of 2001. Our alternative programs department assists with at-risk youth and their families facing atypical circumstances within the school system, whether it be homelessness, truancy, expulsion, or delinquency. As stated by the Illinois State Board of Education, regional offices of education are also responsible for investigating noncompliance within private, homeschool arrangements. Partnerships & Communication: Our biggest annual celebration is our Educator Of The Year Awards Ceremony in which we honor teachers, administrators and support staff. To learn more about our involvement and events with external organizations and our school districts, please subscribe to our semimonthly newsletter and visit us on our social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. Testing Center: Tests that can be taken at the ROE include the GED, Constitution Test, Paraprofessional Test, and more. Transcripts from testing can be provided upon request.

We could all use some good news! Our Director of Communications and Marketing, Justin Sampson, joined school communications colleagues on Friday to present at the 2024 Joint Annual Conference in Chicago. This was an opportunity to share with Illinois school board members, superintendents, and other administrative members about how valuable students can be in telling the story of your school district or organization. Every child has a story, and we appreciate the space to share how to best allow them and your communications team bring those stories to life! #iljac24
