Yet, for about 5% of U.S. adults, this time heralds a challenging period of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or seasonal depression. 🌨️❄️ December marks Seasonal Depression Awareness Month and we're shedding light on this often-overlooked condition. Seasonal depression goes beyond the "holiday blues," manifesting in symptoms such as: * Low energy ⚡ * Feelings of hopelessness 😢 * Social withdrawal 🚶♂️ * Changes in sleep and appetite 🛌🍽️ But there is hope and ways to overcome SAD. 🌟 From maintaining your daily routines, brightening up your environment, to staying active and socializing, small changes can make a big difference.
