He delivered an insightful talk on governing structures for safe agricultural practices and investment. He emphasized the need to strengthen our LGA system to address farm security challenges, referencing incidents like the recent tragedy where half of a farm was damaged by herdsmen. Key points included: • Developing comprehensive local agricultural policies • Investing in farmer education • Creating collaborative frameworks between stakeholders • Exploring the complexities of GMO adoption in our local context Other speakers discussed crop insurance and starting agribusinesses at the grassroots level. Karom global who works in line with NGOs in the state and International on fostering the capacity of youth development. She had an interactive section with great mentors #Amb. Fabian George, Dr Lawal Olohungbe, and Honorable Commissioner for Communication Bolakale Olukoju on how to invest more and build capacity, empowering growth and personal development of youth in our dear state. PADDED GIRLS REVIEW KAROM Global partners on padded girls project a program of Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative supported by US Embassy, this has been wonderful journey since last year October 2023 stating with the visitation of different communities for courtesy visit which includes meeting with the community leaders across Kwara state. The program kick start immediately after the courtesy visit in other to help, enlighten, educate and empower the youth most especially our menstruating ladies, women, mother and young girls on how make reusable pad at there comfort zone and menstrual hygiene and Female Health Education. Balikis Abdulkareem the Chairlady of KAROM Couture volunteer in cutting, guiding and sewing of the reusable pads using needle, thread and sewing machine. We have 422 participants in all community visited and 16 participants were rewarded machine. The closeout celebration relates menstrual hygiene and use of reusable pad enlightenment, sustainable meeting, presentation of certificates and lot more. We commend the effort of our Co-director in making Padded Girls project supported by US Embassy a success. #Paddedgirls #KaromCouture
