Will #semaglutide (OZEMPIC, Wegovy) prove more effective in reducing cognitive decline and brain shrinkage - hallmarks of #Alzheimer’s - than the high priced antibody therapeutics (donanemab, lecanemab) that are currently on-market? Studies underway and slated for completion in 2025 may give us these answers. Preliminary studies using GLP- agonists have shown promise. Patients need more choices of treatment. And the more we learn about treatment efficacies, the more we’ll learn about preventative strategies. https://lnkd.in/ewGghNjJ

2024 has been a gift.
