For 10 wonderful years, the compassionate women of 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻, 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮 have lovingly crafted snuggle blankets for newly diagnosed children navigating a cancer diagnosis. These beautiful blankets, included in our 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀, bring warmth, comfort, and smiles to so many young faces. We are endlessly grateful for their dedication and artistry, which provide more than just blankets—they deliver hope, love, blessings, and a comforting hug! Every snuggle is a reminder of the kindness you’ve sewn into every stitch. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! 𝗬𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗞𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 Aflac 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀! These comforting robotic companions help our pediatric cancer patients prepare for medical procedures, communicate their feelings, and practice distraction techniques, while also being a special friend, providing lots of smiles.   True to the season of togetherness, children and families participated in a fun scavenger hunt, received their own My Special Aflac Duck, enjoyed crafts, shared a meal, played games, and connected with others touched by pediatric cancer.    In collaboration with our Annual Operation Gobble Program, each family received a Thanksgiving meal kit, crafts, and grocery gift cards thanks to our friends at Aflac and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roseville.     𝗧𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗰 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗞𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻'𝘀. We are beyond grateful for this friendship and the opportunity to support our families in such a heartfelt and meaningful way. Meeting our Aflac friends in person who traveled from Atlanta, GA and others from Sacramento was truly an honor, and celebrating this moment together made it even more special. In 2013, Draven was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the young age of 3. Throughout this treatment, Draven was a brave little warrior who brought smiles and hope to everyone around him. 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Draven is now 14 years old, a freshman in high school, and excelling in both academics and sports! With an impressive 4.5 GPA and a spot on the football team, Draven continues to amaze us with his drive and spirit. It’s such a joy to see how far this young cancer survivor has come!
