Understanding the genetic basis of these diseases is crucial for developing effective treatments and providing better care. Let's continue to raise awareness and support research efforts to improve the lives of those affected by rare diseases. 💙 #RareDiseaseDay #Genetics #Awareness

  • 🌍 Did you know there are over 6,000 known rare diseases? 🌍 Rare diseases affect millions of people worldwide, yet each condition impacts a relatively small number of individuals. This makes research, diagnosis, and treatment particularly challenging. 💡 Awareness and advocacy are crucial to support those living with rare diseases and to drive advancements in medical research. Together, we can make a difference by spreading knowledge and fostering a community of support. #RareDiseasesDay #Awareness #Advocacy

The Affianco project was born from the desire to listen, understand, and offer concrete support to those who too often feel alone. We immediately felt close to AIP's goal because Kedrion, like this association, is made up of people who put their hearts into their work, aware that research and innovation are fundamental, but that empathy and human connection are just as important. For these reasons, we are so proud of Affianco's victory for “Best Communication Campaign – nonprofessionals” at the OMaR Award, a prize that recognizes communication on rare diseases and rare tumors. Yesterday evening in Rome, we were deeply moved and excited to collect the award together. Given the proximity to #RareDiseaseDay, today we celebrate not only this achievement but, above all, the strength of a community that never gives up. This award is for all of them. For patients, their families, volunteers, plasma donors and the healthcare professionals who support these communities so closely every day. But it is also for all those who believe in a future where no one is left behind. Ilaria Ciancaleoni Bartoli Osservatorio Malattie Rare Silvia Casati

  • February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate the contributions and achievements of Black Americans and an opportunity to recognize their integral role in American history. From trailblazers like Martin Luter King Jr and Rosa Parks, to modern day innovators like Victor Glover and Amanda Gorman, American history is filled with stories of resilience, courage and excellence. This month, and every month forward, let’s commit to continuing the ongoing journey towards equality for all Americans, because true progress happens when we turn AWARENESS into ACTION. #BlackHistoryMonth

  • Whether or not you mark this day with service, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an important reminder of the power of unity, equality, and justice. Dr. King’s legacy transcends just one day of reflection; it’s a call to action for all of us to continue striving for a world where all people are treated with dignity and respect. As we remember his work and vision, let's ask ourselves: How can we contribute to making our workplaces, communities, and networks more inclusive? Whether through small acts of kindness, championing diversity, or standing up for what is right, each step counts. Dr. King believed that "the time is always right to do what is right." Today and every day, let’s honor his memory by embodying his values in our words and actions. #MLKDay #Equality #Justice #Inclusion #Leadership #Service
