This allocation will increase the assets under management of our firm to more than $140 million. • In partnership with Winston-Salem State University, our third cohort of students completed their internship yesterday with a luncheon and presentation of two companies – Universal Music Group and Lowe’s Companies. Our interns, Kaylan Robbins and Imia Hickson, covered these companies using Kerusso’s investment analysis approach of SWOT – Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats – applied to the four key building blocks of a company – Strategy, Management, Operations and Financials.    Led by Kerusso Partner and Portfolio Manager, Jazmin Gay, it has been an incredible journey watching these young and bright individuals grow and develop their skills. Kerusso maintains our commitment to this type of engagement regardless of the size of our organization, proving that an investment in and with Kerusso goes far beyond the traditional outreach as we seek to help bring more people into this industry, especially those who have typically not been exposed to this industry.    We truly believe that this is a key part of our mission in making a difference in generating alpha for investment portfolios as well as alpha for society at large.   Each intern did a great job strengthening their ability to analyze companies in a professional manner and most importantly, earned academic credit for the semester. As they move on to the next chapter of their careers, we wish them the best of luck and know that they will continue to make a positive impact in their future endeavors. It has been an amazing experience working with our partners at Winston-Salem State University who help make this program a tremendous success! We were grateful to have to Carol Cain, Ph.D., the Interim Chair of the Department of Accounting, Economics & Finance at WSSU; Perry T. Cabean, Managing Member of Grand Street Capital Management; and Kerusso Capital’s own Randell Cain, Jr., CFA., Founding Partner and CEO/CIO, participate in final discussions with our interns.     As we continue this exhilarating journey, we look forward to welcoming the next class of interns in the Fall of 2024! Please let us know if you would like to connect to discuss ways that we can make a difference together.   #creatingthechange #happybutnotsatisfied
