Right now, 35 of our students are not in school. They’re waiting eagerly until there’s enough funding for them to return to the classroom. While they wait, they face unimaginable challenges. Surrounded by violence and uncertainty, they hold onto one dream: finishing school, learning a trade, and rebuilding their communities. They’re ready to create brighter tomorrows today—but they can’t do it alone. Here’s how you can help: It only takes $1.50 a day ($564/year) to cover a student’s tuition. Every dollar gives them the tools they need to overcome their struggles and build a better future. And this Giving Tuesday, your generosity goes TWICE as far. Thanks to a $10,000 matching gift, every donation will be doubled! Together, we can fill those empty classroom desks and help these students achieve their dreams. Please, donate here: https://lnkd.in/ecZkFCNF Let’s end the wait. Will you join us? #GivingTuesday #EndTheWait #EducationForAll #KidsConnectionHaiti #Haiti

Would you transform a life if you could? As our students gear up for the new school year, we’re facing a challenge that’s hard to ignore: we don’t have enough funds to send every student to school. We urgently need sponsors for 100 students. Sponsorships provide consistent monthly support, ensuring that each child can attend school without interruption and with the confidence that someone believes in them. Your support goes beyond financial aid—it’s a message that they matter. As a sponsor, you’ll receive regular updates and photos of your student. Will you consider transforming a life by becoming a sponsor today? Sign up here to become a sponsor or make a donation: https://lnkd.in/dBTUvWxu Thank you!

The school year is coming to an end for our young adults in Haiti. It's been one of the most challenging years ever for Haiti. With many people living in fear and hunger, schools being closed for several months, hundreds of thousands forced to relocate, and over 5,000 lives lost to gang violence, the country has faced immense hardship. Despite these obstacles, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our students. We continue to fight for a better future for our 100+ young men and women. We are deeply grateful to those who continue to support our mission. Together, we are making a difference! #KidsConnectionHaiti #EducationHaiti #AyitiCherie

We were honored to attend a wonderful event last night at the Embassy of Haiti in Washington, D.C., where Dr. Garry Conille, Prime Minister of Haiti, and The Hon. Dominique Dupuy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered an inspiring speech on their commitment to improve the situation in Haiti. Prime Minister Conille emphasized the importance of cooperation with the local population, the Haitian diaspora, Haitian police, and foreign troops. He passionately appealed to the international community to continue their support, highlighting that 12 million Haitians are being held captive by 12,000 thugs. His words were a powerful reminder that "Haitian children deserve the same opportunities as children anywhere else." We left the event encouraged and committed to standing behind Haiti's journey towards a brighter future. #Haiti #BetterFutureforHaiti

Persistence in the Face of a Civil War: KCH’s Unfading Commitment to Young Adults’ Education and Well-being in Haiti While extreme unrest gripped Port-au-Prince, Kids Connection Haiti has successfully continued its educational program, ensuring our students remained connected and supported throughout these last few months. As the capital faced turmoil, our student coordinators maintained daily communication with the young men and women in our program. With schools closed, we adapted swiftly by hiring teachers to provide online learning for our high schoolers. Due to the lack of electricity, internet, or laptops, these classes were conducted on their mobile phones, while our university students were set up for online education on their laptops. Safety concerns and road closures made it impossible for staff to reach the office. Yet, by equipping our team with solar energy solutions, we enabled them to work from home, ensuring uninterrupted support for our students. While these solutions might seem commonplace elsewhere, they are exceptional in Haiti. Healthcare access has been a significant challenge, but we ensured our students received the necessary treatments. Amid the threat of starvation, we utilized a local money transfer app to provide emergency food money to our youth, safeguarding their well-being. The journey has been incredibly challenging, scary, and lonely for our students. Their relief and joy were palpable when they finally reunited after months apart. It’s incredible how quickly life picks up, even when peace remains elusive in Haiti. Today, we celebrate a student’s graduation, two students attending job interviews, ongoing exams, and plans for summer workshops and group meetings. We are profoundly blessed and 100% committed to fostering a brighter future for our students. #Resilience #Education #Haiti #KidsConnectionHaiti #CommunitySupport #Innovation #Hope #TogetherWeCan
