We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of KFK's esteemed founding members, Joseph Capone. As a leading fundraiser for Kids for Kids from the very beginning, Joseph has been instrumental in driving our mission forward. His unwavering dedication to our cause has not only helped shape the foundation of our organization but has also made a significant impact on countless lives. We are extremely proud to share that Joseph was recently honored at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts Swing For Kids Benefit Tournament for his contributions towards the center’s nonprofit mission—to entertain and enrich the community through arts performance, education, and advocacy. Joe's true philanthropic spirit and tireless efforts have been a beacon of inspiration for all of us. Congratulations, Joe, on this well-deserved honor! We look forward to our 15th Annual Golf Outing on September 9th, once again under your leadership.

It's National Volunteer Week! We'd like to take a moment to shine a spotlight on one of our heartfelt helpers: Jasmine Jusufi Jasmine joined Kids for Kids on our trip to visit St. Jude in March of 2023. She left Memphis full of inspiration, and has since truly thrown herself into our shared cause. Jasmine has invested her time and talents with us as a volunteer at several events in 2023 with plans to join us once again this week at our Spring Sporting Clays fundraiser! But her commitment hasn't stopped there; Jasmine has gone above and beyond by hosting two fundraisers for KFK and St. Jude at her business, Le Reve Beauty Body Spa in Staten Island, NY. Steve Markowitz of Samson Funding, along with his wife, Michele, and sons, Steven Jr., Michael, and Joseph (not pictured), is a long-time supporter of the Kids for Kids Foundation. All members of the Markowitz Family possess this passion for helping others and together, began hosting an annual golf outing to support various children's cancer foundations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since their first outing in 2020, the Markowitz Family has gifted over $260,000 to St. Jude both directly and through their support of Kids for Kids. They have even established their own foundation – Mar5 Gratitude Foundation – to further their family’s charitable mission. After providing years of support, the Markowitz family was finally able to join us on our most recent annual trip to St. Jude to see first-hand the incredible impact of their hard work. Witnessing the lifesaving treatments, groundbreaking research, and compassionate care provided by St. Jude only strengthened their commitment to our mission. Meet Our Founders! The Kids for Kids Foundation’s first-ever event was organized by a group of friends and families – most who knew each other from childhood– at the Bronx Zoo. The idea was to create a community of family, friends, and colleagues raising money for organizations that support children and families struggling with medical challenges. From there, what started as this small group of Founders quickly grew to nearly 100 Members within our Committee and Junior Program! These founders put countless hours, hard work and love into what we now know as the Kids for Kids Foundation. Now in its 16th year, KFK has grown far beyond what any of these incredible philanthropists could have imagined.
