The last few years we've held "Anchor Experience Day," which lets 3NEWS employees who work both behind the camera, and in front of it, get a chance to practice doing what a lot of broadcast journalists aspire to do one day -- anchor a newscast. Today I was a part of a Feature Story for KIII 3NEWS News talking about our preparations for the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th with details of our balloon launches and weather stations in the Hill Country! MSJ Bill Churchwell and Digital Director Ana Tamez were out of the daily mix Wednesday in order to put together a presentation on disinformation and the role that AI can play in spreading it this election season. The TEGNA-sponsored training was held at our sister station KHOU last week, and they'll use what they learned to help the rest of the KIII staff better identify AI-altered and generated content next week. In the two images of Bill, can you tell which one used AI-technology to alter the photo, and can you see the "remnants" the alteration left behind?
