About us

KIII 3NEWS is the ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas, operating to serve, inform and improve communities in the Coastal Bend. The station began broadcasting in South Texas on May 4, 1964. Today, KIII 3NEWS dominates one of the fastest-growing markets in Texas. The station's service to the community and commitment to local news and weather coverage has consistently made it the Coastal Bend's news leader for decades. KIII 3NEWS has been at the forefront of some of the biggest stories in South Texas history – from severe weather like Hurricane Allen in 1980 and Hurricane Harvey in 2017, to landmark events like the launch of the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington Museum on North Beach in the 1990s. Tejano icon Selena appeared on the station dozens of times, most notably on Domingo Live, the longest-running bilingual community lifestyle show anywhere in the country. Domingo Live, which was part of the station launch in 1964, is the No. 1 program on Sunday mornings, even beating out NFL pregame shows. You can find KIII 3NEWS on TV, kiiitv.com, the 3NEWS mobile app, and the station's YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages. KIII 3NEWS is part of TEGNA Media, one of the largest and most geographically diverse broadcasters in the U.S.
