KIPP Nashville Public Schools is a network of high-performing, free, open enrollment K-12 schools that has been committed to positively affecting student outcomes in Nashville since 2005. KIPP Nashville is part of the acclaimed KIPP Network, which educates 100,000+ students nationwide and supports students from Pre-Kindergarten through college, career and beyond. Through the KIPP Forward program, our team helps students identify their career of highest aspiration and develop the skills and confidence to chase their dreams. KIPP Nashville currently operates 3 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools and we are excited to open our doors to more schools in 2024 and 2025 in response to strong community demand. We are so excited to welcome Halima Labi M.P.A., M.P.H., Ed.S. as the principal of KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School! Ms. Labi is originally from Atlanta and moved to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University, where she stayed to pursue a career in education. Ms. Labi comes from a long line of educators and family members who worked in schools, including her mother who was a teacher and great grandmother who taught Sunday school. Ending this week on a happy note, reliving all the joy and excitement from our senior signing day! 🎓 🎊 We love how Ms. Jones put it when we asked her to share some thoughts about her daughter's high school graduating class. "I know you may not understand it now, but I hope you understand later how significant this moment in your life is. A lot of us, us parents, we chose to drive you to another side of town so you could get the best education. That’s the love we have for our children. We will do anything for you guys. We’ve watched you from kindergarten through now, and look at you, you’re amazing. We’re proud of the young women and young men that you are."

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville is going to have more KIPP Nashville students on campus this fall than ever! Eleven alumni will attend UTK tuition-free on the VolKIPP Scholarship! This scholarship was established two years ago specifically for KIPP Nashville students, and has allowed us to more than double the number of students attending. We are excited to see how this next group of KIPP alumni make their mark at UTK!

We are so excited to welcome Merisa Marsh-Brown as the founding Principal of KIPP Antioch Global Middle School! This school year, Mrs. Marsh served as a Principal in Residence and spent time getting to know the students and families in our schools. Mrs. Marsh comes from a family of educators and has spent the last fourteen years in education, doing everything from teaching special education to being a Chief Academic Officer. She loves to read, has a law degree, and is mom to two daughters. KIPP Antioch Global Middle School will open in August with fifth and sixth grade students at our new campus located inside the former Macy's building at the Global Mall.
