🚢 Launching today: SMS recipient overrides. By default Knock sends SMS notifications to the phone number stored on a recipient. Now you can optionally specify a static or dynamic value for the recipient of an SMS. An example use-case: “change phone number confirmations” where the SMS needs to be sent to a number that's not yet stored on a recipient's profile. See the comments for a link to the full changelog.

🚨 Alerts are an important part of infrastructure products and developer tools, and they work best when delivered somewhere they can be seen and acted on quickly. Jeff Everhart talked with Brad Sickles, founder and CEO of Nullstone (YC W22), about how they built Slack notifications (powered by Knock) into their new GitOps features so that developers can configure event alerting directly in their IaC files. This means developers on Nullstone can now observe the full deployment lifecycle of their apps in Slack, and even take actions without leaving their chat apps, by adding a few lines of config. 📽️ Get the link to the full interview in the comments
