“Black History Month is a time to celebrate the deep legacy, achievements, and impact of Black individuals who have shaped history and continue to influence the world.” - Maria Baker MSHRM, CCC As co-president of Kohler’s BLK Catalyst business resource group, Maria works to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, promote professional development opportunities, and grow membership across our global locations. All in addition to her “day job” as Early Talent Program Manager, where she extends her skills and passions to attract, develop, and retain the best young talent. At Kohler, business resource groups, including BLK Catalyst, are open to all associates and provide an important place for members and allies to share experiences and build community. “When I first joined Kohler, I quickly found a sense of family when I attended my first BLK Catalyst meeting,” said Maria. “Being new, it was a great way for me to connect with other associates and it also deepened my appreciation for my own work.” Over the past three and a half years, her involvement grew, first on the Membership Relations Committee, then Chair of that committee, and now co-President of BLK Catalyst—as well as a member of Women@Work and Kohler PROUD. “I am proud of the cultural awareness and sense of belonging our business resource groups provide as we create opportunities for our members to grow, connect, and make an impact,” added Maria. “This Black History Month, and always, we commit to shaping a future where Black voices, contributions, and stories are valued every day.” #BlackHistoryMonth #AltogetherKohler #BecomeMoreAtKohler
