Addiction Professionals of North Carolina held its 2024 Spring Conference here at Lake Junaluska this week, and we enjoyed having them here. The conference offered everything from breakout sessions and exhibits in lakeside Harrell Center to connecting and networking while making s'mores by the fire to addresses by inspiring speakers including Maryum Ali, social worker, author and daughter of Muhammad Ali, in historic Stuart Auditorium. "There's power in silence and just doing the work you need to do and letting [negative people] see you do the work," Maryum shared with attendees.✨ Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina just 25 miles west of Asheville, Lake Junaluska is a premier site for board meetings, retreats, family reunions and professional conferences year-round. With spacious meeting rooms and beautiful walkable grounds, guests enjoy our lakeside walking trail, lakeside pool, kayak, canoe and paddleboard rentals, tennis and pickleball courts, golf course, lake cruises or simply relaxing in one of our popular rocking chairs. Groups choose from an array of lodging options – from an onsite campground and apartments to rooms in The Terrace Hotel or historic Lambuth Inn.
