Smith, who currently serves as our Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as the company’s next President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board of Directors, effective January 3, 2025. Mike succeeds Thomas P. Werner, who is stepping down and will transition into an advisory role through August 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. We thank Tom for his leadership, strategic vision and dedication to Lamb Weston and wish him the very best in his next chapter. Mike joined Lamb Weston in 2007 and has served in a variety of leadership roles across the business. Most recently, he has overseen our global end-to-end operations and has developed a deep understanding of all critical aspects of our business and commercial operations.
