  • Last week, we had the privilege of facilitating a dynamic, action-driven workshop on leading change management for the truly exceptional team at King Animal Hospital. From diving into real-world scenarios to engaging in interactive activities tailored to their unique challenges, this team embraced the concepts with enthusiasm and commitment to growth. We focused on making change management concepts stick through: ✔️ 𝟗𝟎% 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Activities that connected theory to their daily operations ✔️ 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Problem-solving together to uncover solutions that fit their organization ✔️ 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Ensuring the lessons weren't just abstract ideas but actionable strategies What makes this team stand out isn't just their dedication to growth; it's their broader vision for innovation. Their commitment to successful change management will not only empower their team but will also create lasting benefits for their entire community as they revolutionize pet care and set a new standard for the veterinary industry. A big thank you to Tracy E. Jones, MBA for bringing us on board for this collaboration, and to all of the team participating in our Pinnacle Path to Change program: Jason Keown, Heather McCourt, Mara Anderson, Dr. Darryl Bonder, Dr. Annatasha Bartel, Daniela Gaudio, Tammy Brumwell. 💚 _______________________________ Change is relevant to everyone. • How many times have you been told, “You think too much?” It’s usually said as a criticism, implying that overthinking leads to indecision, stress, or unnecessary complexity. But here’s the thing: thinking isn’t the problem. In fact, in leadership, more thinking is often better. Leaders who think deeply are more likely to: --Expand their perspectives. They don’t rush to conclusions; they consider multiple angles before making decisions. --Encourage innovation. Thoughtful leaders challenge the status quo and explore creative solutions. --Improve emotional intelligence. Reflecting on how their words and actions affect others makes them more effective communicators. Rather than dismissing deep thought as “too much,” great leaders harness it as a tool. The key is not to stop thinking, but to direct it productively. Here’s how: --Channel your thoughts toward solutions. Instead of spiraling into worry, shift your focus to actionable steps. --Embrace multiple perspectives. Use your deep thinking to consider viewpoints beyond your own. --Trust your ability to decide. Thoughtful leaders also need to take action. Don’t let analysis turn into paralysis. Instead of truly thinking more, great leaders think better. When approached with intention, deep thought fuels clarity, innovation, and better decision-making. So the next time someone says, “You think too much,” take it as a compliment. Your ability to think deeply is exactly what makes you a great leader. 🥰 #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipCoaching #Coaching #Mentorship #ManagerTraining #Thinking #ThoughtProcesses

  • Stepping into leadership isn’t just about getting a new title. It’s about becoming the kind of leader people want to follow. If you’re serious about making the leap, here’s our advice: ✨ Step 1: Reflect on the Leaders Who Shaped You Think about the best and worst managers you’ve worked with. What made them exceptional? What made them terrible? Chances are, the answer isn’t about technical skills. It’s about how they treated people. Maybe your best manager: ✔ Communicated openly and honestly ✔ Supported your growth and development ✔ Created a team culture where people felt valued And maybe your worst manager: ✖ Micromanaged every decision ✖ Took credit for the team’s successes but placed blame when things went wrong ✖ Created an environment of fear or uncertainty Write down what you admired (or despised) about them. Then head here to read steps 2-5 and grab a free resource: https://lnkd.in/eMeBCFEu Or, if you know someone who's ready to make the move to leadership, please share this post with them! 😊 #NewManagerTraining #Upskill #Promotion #Leadership #HumanResources #SuccessionPlanning LaTour Leadership Academy

  • 69% of team members say they would work harder if they felt their efforts were better recognized. Let that sink in for a moment. Imagine the potential for increased productivity, engagement, and morale if leaders simply made recognition a consistent part of their leadership toolkit. Yet, in many workplaces, appreciation is sporadic, surface-level, or missing altogether. Despite countless studies proving the benefits of recognition, it remains one of the most underused tools in leadership. According to a Sirota Consulting survey, just over half of team members (51%) report being satisfied with the recognition they receive. This means nearly half of your team might feel undervalued and disconnected from their work. Why does this matter? Team members who feel unappreciated are: 🙁More likely to disengage 🙁Less loyal to the organization 🙁Less productive Recognition isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s a foundational part of creating a thriving, high-performing team. Find out what happens when recognition is done right, learn why leaders struggle with recognition, and get actionable steps to make recognition a habit --PLUS get a free resource-- here: https://lnkd.in/eWRHqcEz Recognition builds trust, fosters loyalty, and inspires people to bring their best selves to work every day.
