  • Erika King has worked for Folium, Inc. for almost 9 years, starting as the agency’s HR Representative and Graphic Designer, and now holds the responsibility of HR Manager. Erika works diligently to revamp and organize HR processes, documentation, and procedures to streamline her responsibilities. She has collaborated with upgrading our agency website platform, branding, and marketing strategies. Erika is undeniably dedicated to our staff and agency, and is the frequent “go to” staff member for answers. She possesses a nurturing and empathetic demeanor, allowing her to effectively support both employees and the organization. Her vibrant personality creates a positive atmosphere, while staying professional, striking an ideal balance between professionalism and approachability. Erika is an advocate for equality, diversity, and equity in our hiring processes, while daily assessing inclusion, accessibility, and belonging for our staff. She demonstrates an unwavering willingness to help, consistently prioritizing others’ needs by pausing her own tasks to offer support. She provides clear, step-by-step guidance, even under time constraints, and tackles any request, no matter its size or complexity, with genuine concern for others’ well-being. This compassion inspires those around her to lead with empathy, creating an inclusive workspace where every team member feels valued and supported. She also fosters an environment where ideas can flourish. Erika ensures everyone feels heard and appreciated through her open-door policy, welcoming all suggestions, from small process improvements to larger initiatives. She listens with an open mind and a generous heart, always choosing to do what is right over what is easy. She is the brainchild behind the LOV Award, recognizing the impact that leadership has in commemorating staff and their accomplishments. Erika has been an advocate for growth and responsibility, thus helping to pave the way for our current employee portals, both SharePoint and e3, as well as the advances required to help ease adversity for our staff in the efficient access of needed information. She recognized the need to enhance the Human Resources Department, leading to the employment of two HR Assistants, all now housed in a space to promote confidentiality and dignity of employee data and activities. As a catalyst for positive change, Erika is open to new ideas for workplace improvement. Given the sensitive nature of HR work, a lot of Erika's contributions to the company aren't widely known. While the praise for her work might seem general, it's actually because of the high level of confidentiality her role requires. Erika's impact on the organization is often significant, but due to HR privacy standards, it frequently goes unrecognized publicly. We are thrilled to honor and recognize her with this nomination. • Wilson Santiago exemplifies what it means to be a catalyst for change, continuously driving progress within the Family Based program and advocating for the families we serve. Since stepping into the role of director, Wilson has expanded our program’s reach significantly. Under his leadership, we now serve more counties—growing from Franklin/Fulton and York/Adams to also include Cumberland/Perry. This expansion has resulted in an increase from four teams between Franklin and York to an impressive twelve teams across all counties. Wilson's impact goes far beyond program expansion. He has been instrumental in improving employee retention by advocating for increased wages and offering additional incentives for clinicians. When Wilson took over, the average stay for a FBMHS Therapist was just seven months, but through his efforts, retention rates have steadily improved. Wilson also overhauled our family assessment process, introducing alternatives that are more effective and relevant, without increasing the burden on clinicians or families. One of his most profound contributions has been reimagining the way supervisions are conducted across the program. By fostering an environment of understanding, compassion, and support, Wilson has facilitated employee growth and development while boosting morale and retention. His initiative to formally recognize the hard work, dedication, and growth of employees has further cemented his role as a catalyst for positive change. Wilson doesn’t shy away from difficult situations. His advocacy for the program, staff, and families often challenges the status quo, but his persistence and confidence in the people he supports have been invaluable in achieving impactful outcomes. His approach is both analytical and solution-oriented—focusing on "what works, what doesn’t, and how we can improve." He doesn’t just highlight problems; he brings actionable solutions to the table, fostering a spirit of continuous improvement. Wilson’s dedication extends beyond his professional life. In March 2023, he intervened during a violent incident, witnessing and stepping in to save a woman’s life during a stabbing. For his bravery, he was awarded the Exceptional Civilian Service Award by the Chief of Police—a testament to his courage and willingness to act when it matters most. Wilson Santiago has sparked fundamental changes in the Family Based program that have made lasting, positive impacts on both staff and the families we serve. His energy and commitment never waver, making him a truly deserving candidate for the Living Our Values Catalyst Award. Thank you for Living Our Values! #LivingOurValues #thankyouforallyoudo
