Our 2025 Planning Committee spent the day: - Reviewing our team member roles and responsibiities - Collaborating on Conditions of Satisfaction(True North) for the planning committee, content, first time attendees and repeat attendees - Getting aligned on our theme and tracks - Focusing on more opportunities for connection Our team has some big plans, and they are going to make sure we are keeping everyone up to date along the way. When asked how Lean thinking has influenced her approach to design and construction, Daniela shared: “The design and construction landscape has transformed significantly over the past decade, influenced by changes in the workforce, project complexity, and demanding schedules. Traditional project delivery methods are no longer sufficient, and the adversarial culture that has long been entrenched in the industry is neither enjoyable nor sustainable. This shift has led me to rethink my approach to design and construction, emphasizing the importance of respect for people, fostering a collaborative environment, and learning to be accountable to one another. By optimizing the whole, we all benefit. The mindset of ‘we have always done it that way’ is no longer acceptable. Embracing continuous improvement is essential for our industry to advance and thrive.” Daniela’s insights highlight why certification matters—not only for personal growth but also for driving the industry toward a more collaborative and innovative future. This year's Lean Construction Institute (US) Congress in San Diego, California, was an exciting opportunity for our team to network and share experiences with peers. We hosted three sessions, including one that demonstrated how to keep Conditions of Satisfaction (CoS) at the forefront of the decision-making process; another that demonstrated how Takt Planning saved improved speed to market; and a panel with O'Shea Builders that provided tangible strategies for engaging their workforce. At the close of the event, our Takt Planning session, led by Superintendent Jared Wilson and Innovation Lab Manager Steve Moore, was named "Top Live Lab," and our Lean Practice Leader Jennifer Lacy was named co-chair of the 2025 Congress. Thank you to our teammates and partners who joined us to help tell important stories that move the industry forward. We're proud of all of our team members who participated to make this year's event special, and we look forward to seeing everyone in Arlington, Texas, next year! #LCICongress24
