Home care is a safe and convenient choice that not only benefits patients but also helps healthcare providers. By opting for home care, fewer patients need to visit hospitals, reducing wait times and allowing healthcare providers to concentrate on those who must be treated on-site. This arrangement can significantly ease the strain on medical facilities and address provider shortages effectively. https://lnkd.in/ekHQPgvC

Leap's approach to helping employers reduce their healthcare spend touches on so many of these areas from Mercer's 7 benefit strategies for 2024: - Where care is provided matters - employers can drastically reduce their specialty drug spend by helping employees find more convenient, lower cost places to receive their infusion treatments. - Focus on pharmacy - and pay more attention to those drugs that are currently being billed through the medical plan, not just the PBM. Specialty drugs impact less than 5% of the population, but account for over 50% of the pharmacy spend. - Improve health equity by making care more accessible to everyone. - Focus on solutions with a demonstrable and meaningful impact to both cost and employee experience. - Provide more flexibility for employees - like care that comes to them. https://lnkd.in/eYCkSJe8

Like so much of healthcare, everything is more expensive in the hospital. Specialty drugs are no exception and employers are paying the price for treatments that can easily be performed in a safe, more convenient, less costly location. Educating patients on options for home or in-clinic care can not only improve patient experience, but also drastically reduce costs. https://lnkd.in/esc7SnGy
