At The Leapfrog Group, we believe in transparency and improving #PatientSafety nationwide. Our hand hygiene standard has shown incredible progress, from just 11% of hospitals meeting our standard in 2020, to 74% in 2023. This effort plays a crucial role in reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Learn more in this insightful article from Infection Control Today: https://lnkd.in/gZhpPM2X

Today, Texas Health Huguley Hospital had the honor of welcoming Leah Binder, President and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, along with Jen Bowring, Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association North Texas (ADA), and Dr. Rajesh K. Garg, a leader in diabetes care and member of the ADA Standards of Care Committee. In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, this visit highlighted our recognition as one of just 17 hospitals nationwide designated as a "Recognized Leader in Caring for People Living with Diabetes." During their time with us, Binder and the ADA team toured our facilities, engaged with hospital leaders and team members, and explored how our innovative diabetes care program is improving patient outcomes. We’re also excited to share that our Diabetes Center of Excellence Manager, Dr. Angela Hodges, will be a panelist at Leapfrog's annual meeting next month. She will speak about our diabetes program and the exceptional care we provide here at Texas Health Huguley.

Delighted to be moderating a phenomenal panel at The Leapfrog Group's Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner (December 7, in DC). We're going to talk about our new program to champion the hospitals that do the best job of caring for people with diabetes: Our CEO Leah Binder leads the Recognized Leader in Caring for People Living with Diabetes Program, Robert Gabbay MD, PhD while at the American Diabetes Association was the intellectual godfather to the program, Angela Hodges leads the Diabetes Center of Excellence at Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, one of the inaugural winners last year, and Tara Rose Murphy is a T1D patient and one of our expert panelists, and a quality measurement expert in her own right. I'm so excited for the conversation - to register, visit https://lnkd.in/eHKXKwgk, and use this opportunity to connect with leaders in #patientsafety and health care quality.
