We hear it all the time, "how can you not charge for this"? Well, our entire team are volunteers, and we are dedicated to providing technology resources at no cost. Our world is too advanced to deny seniors, veterans and community members access to technology & education due to costs. Public Technical Assistance Programs should be adopted by cities and governments all over the nation and we believe our nonprofit will be the start of this. Learn more about our Public Technical Assistance Program at https://lnkd.in/gpdVq-5e The relief we hear after our clients find out there is no bill is more than enough for payment 😀 #nonprofit #publicassistance #assistance #free #elders #love #nh #me

The LeClair Foundation For Technology was founded in memory of Gary LeClair (1956-2021). "My father cared deeply about small towns, local businesses, and standing up for the little guy. Through this nonprofit, I hope to bring his vision of a better, more supportive world to life". - Corie LeClair, Executive Director & Founder Visit https://lnkd.in/gs4iHgYb to hear more from his family! Happy to announce we are now offering cost-free electronic recycling to Rochester (NH), Sanford (ME) and the surrounding areas. This includes side-street pickup and drop-off to a local address. No need to meet in-person or go out of your way to get rid of these things. You can learn more and get started at https://lnkd.in/girEhkx8 This is important to ensure no electronics are wasted, to ensure our waste management facility remains safe from dangerous electronics and to ensure landfills aren't filled up with things that can be put to use. Please do not throw away electronics as even outdated technology can be put to use.

Read about how we applied our Public Assistance (Technical) program today! (Pictures attached!) A community member in Sanford, ME reached out about their laptop being way too slow. We came out to check it out and discovered their memory was not sufficient and their internals had build up of debris. We upgraded their memory and cleaned up their computer at no cost! Their memory usage is now sitting at 50% instead of 80% and their laptop is running better than ever! We are very happy to provide these services at no cost to our community members! If you're a veteran, low-income, disabled or 53+ years old, you qualify!
