The Legacy team took some time this morning to assemble sandwiches, bag almost 100 lunches, and deliver to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore for their Beans & Bread Resource Center. Thanks to our employees and to Legacy Engineering Group for donating the supplies to help our community! #legacy #communityservice #giveback

Thanks to ASHRAE Baltimore Chapter for putting together another great Rockfish Tournament to raise money for Research Promotion. Thanks also to Dave Handzo for taking the reins from yours truly to seamlessly organize the event this year! And finally, thanks to UEP, United Energy Products for hosting me on their boat. The weather ended up beautiful and we managed to catch some fish, so not a bad way to spend a Monday!

We were excited to participate in the Howard Community College 5K Challenge Race to support a great cause and help raise some money for scholarships. It was a beautiful day for a run and I averaged just over a 4-minute mile, if you consider a 9-minute mile just over 4!

Karen Gleba, P.E. and I were thrilled to recently attend the ribbon cutting for the Engineering and Collaborative Research and Education (ECoRE) building at Penn State. The ECoRE building will foster new growth and culture in the College of Engineering with state of the art spaces for research and next generation learning spaces for students. The building is truly impressive and makes me even prouder to be a Penn State Engineer. We Are! Penn State Engineering!

Today was my last day interning with Legacy Engineering Group. Thank you to everyone at Legacy for creating such a welcoming environment! Over the past 3 months I have had the opportunity to learn so much about the world of MEP engineering. Whether it was site visits, design work, or routing mechanical equipment, I was able to challenge myself over the course of the summer and finally utilize what I’ve learned at University of Maryland Baltimore County. Thank you again to the team! - Charles Bennici

Today we join with engineers across our industry to celebrate Professional Engineers Day. More than 80% of the engineers at Legacy are licensed PEs and we rely on their expertise every day. We prioritize licensure and will support entry-level engineers to obtain their FE and PE registrations as they grow within our firm. Why does it matter?
