I’ve been intentionally spending less time on social media lately, focusing on what truly matters to me. However, every now and then, something meaningful happens that’s worth sharing—and this is one of those moments. I’m proud to share that Legacy Vacation Resorts, a Certified B Corp has been recognized as a 2025 Top Impact Company by Real Leaders—not just as part of the top 50 but as the #1 overall company in travel! This recognition isn’t about accolades; it’s a reflection of the collective effort of an incredible team dedicated to creating positive impact through sustainability, purpose-driven work, and community engagement. I also want to celebrate our fellow Florida For Good member and #BCorp, Ocaquatics Swim School, for earning a spot on this prestigious list. By incorporating CEO interviews and community-driven impact evaluations, we ensured that only the most deserving organizations made the list. 🌍 A Proud Moment for B Tourism: Elevating B Corp Certification in the Travel Industry ✈️ Since the inception of B Tourism, our collective vision has been to bring the values and recognition of #BCorp Certification into the heart of the travel and tourism industry. B Corps have long been recognized globally as the gold standard for business driven positive impact, yet it remained relatively under the radar within our sector. It’s exciting to share that B Corp Certification was recognized on Travalyst's first ever list of approved sustainability certifications! 🎉 This isn’t just an endorsement—it’s a powerful opportunity for deeper collaboration and a significant step toward transforming the travel industry for the better. Travelers can now more easily discover B Corps within the travel industry, thanks to how Travalyst's partners (Booking.com, Expedia Group, Tripadvisor, Google, Sabre Corporation, Skyscanner, Trip.com Group, Amadeus, Travelport, Visa) will incorporate this information in their search & sort tools. The journey started with our very first B Tourism (before our collective had a name) gathering in New Orleans at the B Corp Retreat in 2018—where a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared dream. This momentum carried into 2020 at Taos Ski Valley, Inc., where David Norden, Leigh Barnes and I discussed how we could make it easier for travelers to find responsible travel providers. And it continued to COP 26 in Glasgow, where industry leaders gathered to explore how travel could be a force for good. The conversations and collaborations that followed, with visionaries like Darrell W., Jeremy Smith, and Sally Davey, have been instrumental in reaching this milestone. A special appreciation goes out to Lorin Augeri, Winnie Mulamba, Legacy Vacation Resorts, a Certified B Corp, the many B Tourism members who push us forward today, and to Aromica Bhattacharya and Tim L. of Travalyst.
